SPECIFICATIONS VIDLED Standard LED Series LIGHTS

Here's some detailed information on our lights. We'll also throw in some halogen lights in the mix, as a comparison to the VIDLED lights. We've listed the Bescor MLP-645 dimmable halogen light, which uses a 50 W halogen bulb; and a Sunpak Readylight 20 with a 15W bulb.
Please also note the beam angle: a wider beam always yields lower luminocity because the light is spread over a larger area.

Notes:
* We didn't measure temperature of housing as the light does not stay on long enough. It's a great little light for the money, but don't expect more than about 15 minutes run time on one charge, and it takes several hours to re-charge the battery pack..
** Another nice light, but our test-unit had a horrible HOTSPOT in the middle of the beam. Since we measure the center, the above luminocity for the MPL-645 is misleading. Once we even out the beam, we measured: ~60 Lux with dichroic filter, and ~220 Lux without filter.

Functions

Once a power source is plugged in, use the potentiometer to control the amount of light.

No external power source required. A switch turns the battery meter LCD on; once the switch is ON, use the potentiometer to regulate the amount of light.

Comments

Battery pack is Li-Ion, NON replaceable and rated for ~500 recharges. The LEDs should outlive the battery pack. Should the battery pack wear out, the unit is still operational by using an external power source
